Organised by BGAJ chair Johann Tasker, the group of nine budding fell walkers took on the 24.5 mile hike last Saturday (May 20) in perfect conditions.

Setting off from Horton-in-Ribblesdale and scaling the peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough and climbing more than 5,000 feet in the process, the group, which included Farmers Guardian publisher Ben Briggs, have currently raised over £4,000 to split between Farming Community Network, RSABI and the guild's own charitable trust.

Pictured, left to right, are: Johann Tasker, Simon Haley, Ben Briggs, Andy Newbold, Mary Harmey, Harry Parsons, Ann Newbold, Tom Hunt, Fiona Carruthers, with guide David Pritchard at the front.

You can still donate by going to gofundme.
